Answro Terms of Service

Version 2026-09-24.1. These terms are a contract between you (the business that creates an Answro account, “you”, “Customer”) and Digital Project LLC, a Washington limited liability company (“Digital Project”, “we”). By creating an account, ticking the acceptance box, or using the Service you agree to them. If you are accepting for a business, you confirm you are authorized to bind it.

1. What Answro is

Answro (“the Service”) is a hosted, automated telephone answering service. Software answers calls placed to a telephone number you point at it, speaks with the caller, records what the caller says, produces a written summary and structured notes, and makes those available to you through a web dashboard and, if you choose, text messages, email, and device notifications. Answro takes messages. It does not make decisions, give advice, quote prices, make appointments, or represent that anything has been done.

Answro is inbound only. It never places outbound calls or sends text messages to your callers or to any member of the public. The only messages it sends go to you, the account holder, and only after you opt in.

2. Eligibility and prohibited uses

  • You must be a business operating in the United States. The Service is not for consumers.
  • Self-serve accounts are not available to law firms or legal services, healthcare providers or anyone handling protected health information, insurance agencies or brokerages, or investment, financial planning or wealth-management businesses. If you operate in one of these fields you must contact us for an assisted setup; a self-serve account created for such a business may be suspended.
  • You may not use the Service for emergency services, for any purpose where a failed or misheard call could cause bodily harm, or in violation of any law, including telephone-recording, consumer-protection, and telemarketing laws.
  • You may not use the Service to collect payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, passwords, health information, or similar sensitive data from callers. The agent is instructed to refuse such information; you must not instruct it otherwise.
  • You may not resell the Service, reverse-engineer it, or interfere with its operation or with other customers.

3. Your responsibilities

  • Accuracy. The agent says only what you approve. You are responsible for confirming your business facts (hours, address, services) and for the “never say” decisions you make in your account. We do not verify them.
  • Approval record. Each time you approve your agent we store the approved content with a version number, time stamp, your account email, and IP address. That record is the authoritative statement of what you authorized the agent to say.
  • Call recording notice. Every call is recorded and transcribed. The agent announces at the start of every call that the call is on a recorded line. You may not remove or shorten that announcement. Washington and several other states require the consent of all parties to a recorded call; the announcement is how that consent is obtained, and you agree it will be played on every call.
  • Your telephone number. If you forward an existing number to the Service you are responsible for the forwarding settings with your carrier, for any carrier charges, and for turning forwarding off when you no longer want calls answered by the Service.
  • Reviewing output. Summaries and transcripts are produced automatically and can contain errors. You are responsible for reading them and for every callback and business decision you make from them.
  • Account security. Keep your sign-in email secure. Anyone who can read email sent to that address can sign in.

4. Telephone numbers

Telephone numbers we provision for you remain the property of Digital Project (or its carrier partner) and are licensed to you for the term of your subscription. When your subscription ends, the number is unassigned from your agent, held for you for seven days, kept available for thirty days, and then released. If you want to keep a number after cancellation, contact us before the end of the seven-day hold. Porting a number out is available on request and may involve carrier fees.

5. Plans, trial, fees, and cancellation

  • Answro Capture is billed monthly in advance at the price shown at signup, and includes the stated number of call minutes per month. Minutes beyond the included amount are billed at the stated per-minute rate in arrears. Prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude taxes, which we collect where required.
  • Trial. New accounts receive a fourteen-day free trial. A payment method is required to start the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins automatically and the first month is charged.
  • Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no refunds are given for partial months. Your agent stops answering when the period ends. If you cancel during the trial you are not charged.
  • Non-payment. If a payment fails we will retry and notify you. If it remains unpaid we may suspend or cancel the Service.
  • Price changes. We may change prices with at least thirty days’ notice by email; the new price applies from your next billing period after the notice.

6. Data, recordings, and privacy

How we handle your data, your callers’ data, recordings and transcripts is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms. In summary: you own your call data; we process it to provide the Service; we use third-party providers (telephony, speech recognition, language models, hosting, payments, email) under contracts that restrict them to providing the Service; and we do not sell it. Your call recordings and transcripts are not used to train the models that answer other customers’ calls.

7. Text messages and notifications to you

Text messages to your mobile number are optional and are never required to use the Service. You opt in by ticking an unchecked box in your account, and you can opt out at any time by replying STOP or turning them off in your account. Message frequency depends on your call volume; message and data rates may apply. Device notifications and email are likewise optional and controlled in your account.

8. Service availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Telephone networks, carriers, and the speech and language providers we depend on can fail. We may modify, add to, or discontinue features. We may suspend the Service for maintenance, for security reasons, or if we believe an account is being used in violation of these terms.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DIGITAL PROJECT DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the agent will answer every call, understand every caller, capture every detail correctly, or that summaries and transcripts are accurate or complete. Automated speech recognition and language models make mistakes. The Service is not a substitute for a human employee, a professional adviser, or an emergency service.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DIGITAL PROJECT WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST BUSINESS, LOST CALLS, LOST CUSTOMERS, OR LOSS OF DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE, HOWEVER CAUSED. DIGITAL PROJECT’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IN ANY TWELVE-MONTH PERIOD WILL NOT EXCEED THE FEES YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THAT PERIOD. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places the limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted.

11. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify Digital Project against claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service in violation of these terms or of law, from the facts and instructions you approved for your agent, from your call-recording obligations to your callers, or from your callers’ data as you use it.

12. Intellectual property

Digital Project owns the Service, its software, prompts, designs, and documentation. You own your business information and your call data. You grant us a license to use your business information and call data solely to provide and improve the Service for you, and to produce aggregated, de-identified statistics that do not identify you or your callers.

13. Term, suspension, termination

These terms apply while you have an account. We may suspend or terminate an account for breach, for non-payment, for legal risk, or if the Service is discontinued, with notice where practical. On termination your access ends, your numbers are handled as described in section 4, and your data is retained and deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections 4, 6, and 9 through 16 survive termination.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email or in your dashboard at least fourteen days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance. The version date at the top identifies the terms in force.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, each party agrees to try in good faith to resolve the dispute by contacting the other at the addresses below and allowing thirty days.

16. General

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about the Service. If any part is unenforceable the rest remains in effect. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them to a successor. Notices to us go to [email protected] or Digital Project LLC, 22036 102nd Pl SE, Kent, WA 98031. Notices to you go to your account email.
